SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) - After several years of litigation and negotiations, the city council for South Sioux City says it has formally approved a comprehensive settlement regarding the closed Bix Ox facility.
The city says the settlement is with Wells Fargo, in its capacity as collateral trustee, and NLC. According to the city council, this resolves “all outstanding legal disputes” and ends all litigation regarding the Big Ox facility.
“This settlement marks a significant step forward for the City and includes several strategic gains that are expected to support South Sioux City’s continued industrial growth and economic development,” stated the city in a press release.
