CHARLOTTE — Panthers' running back Rico Dowdle has been named one of the Air & Ground Players of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. Dowdle shares the award this week with Giants running back Cam Skattebo.

The news comes following Dowdle's franchise-leading 239-yards from scrimmage in the win against the Cowboys in Week 6.

Dowdle finished with 183 rushing yards, and 56 receiving yards and a touchdown on five receptions. It is the second straight week Dowdle accumulated 200-plus yards from scrimmage, following a 234-yards from scrimmage performance in the win against the Dolphins in Week 5.

The Air & Ground Player of the Week is a fan based vote that recognizes quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. Dowdle was nominated last week, but this is his first win
