CHARLOTTE — The Panthers brought back a familiar face Wednesday.
The team signed safety Trevian Thomas back to the practice squad, a day after he was waived from the 53-man roster.
Thomas cleared waivers Wednesday, and was immediately brought back to the team.
Thomas, an undrafted rookie, opened the season on the practice squad and was signed to the 53 when nickel Chau Smith-Wade missed some time. Now he's back, and the practice squad is at the 17-man limit again.
