A plane carrying Secretary of War Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unexpected landing Wednesday while traveling back to the United States from Brussels, Belgium.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed the emergency landing was caused by a cracked windshield , and said no one was harmed in the incident.

“On the way back to the United States from NATO’s Defense Ministers meeting , Secretary of War Hegseth’s plane made an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in the aircraft windshield. The plane landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe,” Parnell wrote on social media.

Hegseth reassured his supporters that he was in good health by reposting that message and adding one of his own.
