DeVone Holt will step down as president and CEO of the Muhammad Ali Center in late October, officials said in an Oct. 15 news release.

Holt, who joined the Ali Center in July 2024, will leave the role Oct. 24. Lonnie Ali, co-founder of the center and wife of the late Muhammad Ali, will be appointed chairman and serve as interim president and CEO.

In a statement, Lonnie Ali said officials remain "steadfastly committed to inspiring people to achieve their greatest potential and honoring Ali’s iconic legacy and global platform."

"Our focus will not waver. We have a powerful mission, a strong team, and a critical celebration coming up, the 12th Annual Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awards on [Nov. 8], where we will honor individuals committed to social justice and service," she said.
