Patcharin Jeesom is getting his new Klin Thai ready at 1894 Centre St. in West Roxbury, where Som Tum Modern Thai Cuisine replaced Sticky Rice in 2017. Sticky Rice opened in 2011, replacing the King, which served Middle Eastern food and which, in 2009, replaced Samia's, which also served Middle Eastern food.
The Boston Licensing Board approved the Thai-to-Thai changeover in August. Jeesom is planning hours of 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with seating for 16.
Jeesom's takeover of the space means West Roxbury will continue to have three times as many Thai restaurants as Roslindale.
Jeesom is also busy outfitting a Klin Thai place in Haverhill, where he won approval to serve liquor as well.
