BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -Warren County Public Schools celebrated the completion of a major emergency communications upgrade on Wednesday, marking a new era of safety connectivity across the district’s 19,000 students.

School representatives joined local and federal government officials at Greenwood High School to commemorate the implementation of the communications enhancement project, which was funded through $570,000 in federal appropriations secured by Congressman Brett Guthrie.

“This emergency radio connectivity will ensure that we are able to more efficiently respond to emergencies, all with the best interest of our students and our staff in mind,” said WCPS superintendent, Rob Clayton.
