JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Jerome City Fire Department has taken delivery of a new fire ladder truck, with firefighters currently undergoing extensive training on the upgraded equipment.

The new vehicle arrived two years after the Jerome City Council and mayor invested in the fire department by ordering the replacement truck. The modern truck replaces a 25-year-old truck that had served the department for more than two decades.

Firefighters have been spending hours training with Rosenbauer, the truck’s manufacturer, to become familiar with all the new components and technology integrated into the vehicle.
