Steubenville, OH (WTRF) - At Franciscan University in Steubenville, faith and service are at the heart of student life. For one student, that faith is reaching far beyond Steubenville helping build homes for families in the country where he was born and adopted at a young age.

James Meyer, a sophomore at Franciscan University of Steubenville, grew up in a small Wisconsin town but was born in Guatemala and adopted when he was at the age of one. His love for music started early as a child and eventually led him to Franciscan, where he studies sacred music with an organ concentration.

Meyer said that in the little time he has been at the university he has learned so much about himself through others and has enjoyed his time in Steubenville.
