A killer who stabbed his girlfriend to death told his victim's family and friends 'do something' after being branded a 'maggot' in court.

Michael Ormandy was found guilty of the murder of Rebekah Campbell on Wednesday (October 15) following a two-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

The 32-year-old victim died after being stabbed 18 times inside her own flat at Knowsley Heights in Huyton in April this year. Her boyfriend claimed to have acted in self-defence during the incident, but only suffered a single cut to his hand during the altercation, the ECHO reports.

Rebekah was meanwhile left covered in blood as she collapsed outside the block of flats, having suffered the fatal stab wounds and been slashed a further nine times
