BEAUMONT, Texas — The City of Beaumont and the Beaumont Police Officers Association have reached a four-year agreement after three days of contract negotiations, securing annual wage increases and enhanced incentive compensation for officers.
Under the new contract, police officers will receive 5% annual raises throughout the agreement's four-year term. The agreement also includes augmented incentive pay designed to recognize officer performance and dedication to the department.
City Manager Kenneth Williams says the agreement is essential to maintaining Beaumont's public safety.
