FOXBOROUGH - Drake Maye said the Patriots were simply following their coach’s lead when it came to Mike Vrabel’s homecoming Sunday in Tennessee.

As well as their current standing in the AFC’s hierarchy.

Vrabel, who was fired by the Titans in 2023 after six largely successful seasons, has discussed the game, and laid out the plan.

“The way Coach Vrabel kind of handles it, leads into how we’re into it,” Maye said Wednesday. “I think he’s focused about this team, and not worried about going back to the place he coached a long time and had great success.

“He’s kind of not treating it like a big deal so I think it bleeds into us. We’re treating it like another week, another opponent ... got to treat it the same (as every week). I think the way he’s handling it is the right way.”
