SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The loved ones of a 10-year-old boy — who was severely injured while being driven to school last month — are asking for the public's help to cover costs for his "long medical journey" ahead.
The child, named Lear, needs 24-hour round-the-clock care. He has been in a pediatric intensive care unit since the solo vehicle collision on Sept. 29 in the area of Geneva and San Jose avenues, according to a GoFundMe page created. • Photo courtesy of Lear's GoFundMe page. • Photo courtesy of Lear's GoFundMe page.
The San Francisco Police Department said its officers arrived at the crash scene at 8 a.m. and found three were injured. Two victims were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Lear, the third victim, suffered life-threatening injuries.
