BUNA, Texas — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Texas Department of Public Safety with a major crash involving four vehicles on State Highway 62 near County Road 826, about nine miles south of Buna.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene, and officials say the roadway will remain shut down as emergency crews work.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, DPS is leading the investigation into the crash.

No additional details about possible injuries or the cause of the crash have been released.
