WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - If you’ve spent any time in downtown Wichita this year, you’ve probably paid for parking, providing information, including your license plate number and payment by card to secure your spot and protect yourself from a ticket as long as you’re back to your vehicle before the time on the meter runs out.

For Michelle Greenwood, taking all of the necessary steps didn’t protect her from a citation. Now, the woman who works downtown is speaking out after she found a ticket on her car that she said she didn’t deserve.

Greenwood paid for parking for the duration of her workday.

“I have proof on the city’s parking site that my parking is valid from 8:06 (a.m.) to 4:06 (p.m.),” she said.

But Greenwood was cited for a parking violation hours before her paid time was supposed
