ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) - Following weeks of discussion by officials in Ontario County regarding their concerns with growing demand for an aging electric grid, a new report released by New York's Independent System Operator (NYSIO) suggests that many communities statewide, including Rochester, may soon face a similar dilemma.

Members of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce are monitoring the growing electric demand in the business sector and slated electric infrastructure improvements to support it. The organization's Director of Advocacy, Intergovernmental Relations and Public Policy Joe Leathersich explained that the community's electric needs are shifting each day.
