EUGENE — Oregon needed to find multiple new starters at cornerback this offseason and it’s gotten immediate returns from Brandon Finney Jr.

The true freshman has delivered elite results immediately, winning a starting job in fall camp and proving to be not only the top cover corner for the No. 8 Ducks, but one of the best in the country.

“I feel like no matter what room I’m in, I’m the best player,” Finney said. “Even right now, I’m not really satisfied with what I’ve done so far. I’m not trying to be the best freshman, I’m trying to be the best corner in America.”
