PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Three teenage boys are now being charged as adults in connection with a Sunday shooting that left a Peoria man hospitalized for days before he died.

According to Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos, the teens, 16-year-old Orlando J. Hanson Jr., 17-year-old Jamion L. Irby, and 16-year-old Davieon D. Webster face charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a handgun for the shooting death of 22-year-old Khmari Davis-Rickmon.

Authorities said on Sunday, Oct. 12, at about 1:30 p.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of W. Antoinette after a Shot Spotter alert indicated 15 shots were fired in the area.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Rickmon lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. Rickmon was rushed to OSF Healthcar
