SALT LAKE CITY — With a new team and a new identity comes a new face. The Utah Mammoth officially unveiled its mascot, Tusky.

He’ll join the Jazz Bear, Cosmo, Swoop, and Leonardo the Lion in Utah’s lineup of team mascots in 2025.

In their inaugural NHL season, Utah’s team played as the Utah Hockey Club while determining its long-term identity. During that first year, the Jazz Bear filled in as the team’s temporary mascot.

After fans and the franchise decided on the Mammoth name, new logos, sweaters, rally cries, and now a mascot have joined the fold.

The Mammoth stands at 6-foot-5, and uses almost all of the colors found in the team’s logos.

In a press release on the unveiling of the new mascot, team owners Ryan and Ashley Smith explained the thought process behind Tusky.
