DEARBORN — Wednesday night’s Division 2 boys’ soccer district title game at Divine Child Catholic High School had a bit of a ‘David vs Goliath’ feel to it.
On one side, Madison Heights Lamphere was appearing in the district finals for the first time since 2019, which was the last time they also won such a title. Meanwhile, it’s been business as usual for the hosts from Divine Child, who had won six straight district crowns in the sport coming into play on Wednesday.
With a 5-0 victory over Lamphere — their third clean sheet in as many playoff games thus far — the Falcons from DC continued their winning ways on the district scene, something that head coach Dean Kowalski takes a lot of pride in.
