NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A big bubble of high pressure sitting over eastern Texas is running the show right now, keeping us warm, dry, and mostly sunny. Humidity is still on the low side, so nights will feel nice and comfortable, with lows in the upper 50s to around 60. This setup sticks around through Thursday before that high starts sliding east. Once it does, winds will turn off the Gulf again, and we’ll start to see a little more moisture creeping back in.

Friday looks a lot like what we’ve had lately — warm, dry, and pleasant. But heading into the weekend, we’ll start to notice some changes. A weak disturbance will move across the region late Saturday into Sunday, and that could spark a few showers or storms, mainly north of I-10 and I-12.
