SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio — A small Woodville Township meeting turned into a packed house Tuesday night, as residents crowded the room to discuss a potential data center project that could come to the area.

Township trustees said the meeting was meant to be an opportunity for the developer of the data center to talk to the public about the project, but no developer showed up.

Trustee Paul Runion said developers have shown interest in about 450 acres of industrial land off Township Road 93, but no formal zoning requests or permit applications have been filed.

“We’re all about trying to be as transparent as possible. Nothing will be done in private, and nothing has been done,” Runion said.
