NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Malcolm Brogdon, who signed a one-year, $3.3 million contract with the New York Knicks last month, has decided to step away from basketball. The 32-year-old was drafted 36th overall in 2016 by the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Bucks fanbase has been busy this offseason speculating about possible moves involving Giannis Antetokounmpo. Amid the uncertainty, the team brought in Thanasis Antetokounmpo and recently also added Alex Antetokounmpo. However, on Wednesday, they saw the shocking retirement declaration of one of their former rookie stars.
“After nine NBA seasons, New York Knicks guard Malcolm Brogdon has decided to retire from basketball, he tells ESPN. Brogdon became the 2017 Rookie of the Year and 2023 Sixth Man of the Year after being drafted No. 3
