Alexandra Kelnik and Stephanie Morano both found the back of the net in the first half for seventh-seeded Fair Lawn as it rode its early two-goal margin through the latter stages of its match against 10th-seeded Northern Highlands and secured a 2-0 win in the first round of the Bergen County Tournament in Fair Lawn,

Fair Lawn’s victory advances it to the quarterfinals where it will take on second-seeded Immaculate Heart, ranked No. 7 in the NJ.com Top 20, following it’s 5-0 win against 15th-seeded North Arlington.

Cassandra Alfieri assisted on both goals and Maya Showfety recorded a four-save shutout for Fair Lawn (11-2-1).

Sofia Lalime made six saves in goal for Northern Highlands (7-5).
