An Aspen man remains in the Pitkin County Jail awaiting sentencing for a violent 2023 domestic assault, despite being scheduled for a prison term earlier this month.

Dagoberto Romero-Moreno, 52, pleaded guilty in June to felony charges of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, and sexual assault on a victim incapable of appraising her condition.
