Bhopal: The Hindu Utsav Samiti has launched a campaign urging citizens to celebrate a “Sanatani Diwali” by supporting Hindu merchants. On Wednesday, committee members, led by President Chandrashekhar Tiwari and accompanied by several saints, visited the city’s New Market to promote their appeal. They carried posters and encouraged shoppers to buy only from Hindu shopkeepers, claiming that some communities label Hindus as infidels and issue fatwas against them.
The committee emphasized celebrating Diwali in a way that aligns with Sanatani values, asking people to engage with Hindu sellers during festivals.
