As Bihar's ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is still grappling with the seat-sharing impasse, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United (JDU) on Thursday released its final list of 44 candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections .

On Wednesday, the JDU unveiled its first list of 57 candidates , including nominees for four seats sought by Chirag Paswan , signaling the party’s firm intent to contest those constituencies and further intensifying the seat-sharing crisis.

Minister Sumit Singh, who won the 2020 election as an independent, has been nominated by the party this time from the Chakai Assembly seat. Other ministers nominated include Jama Khan from the Chainpur seat, Jayant Raj from Amarpur, and Lesy Singh from Dhamdaha.
