A man and a woman were killed in a two-car crash in the 26000 block of Baseline Street in Highland just after 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15., the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

A brown Mazda and a black sedan, which appeared to be an Infiniti from video taken at the scene, collided. The front of both vehicles could be seen severely damaged in the video.

The driver of the black sedan, a man and the passenger, a woman, were declared dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s department.

The driver of the brown Mazda was taken to a hospital with major injuries, the SBCSD said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
