ROCHESTER HILLS – Goals have been hard to come by for Rochester Adams this season.
The Highlanders, the defending Division 1 state champions who graduated 178 players and eight starters plus plenty of depth pieces from last season’s title run, took some time to get going this season.
The Highlanders have now posted a 3-1-1 record in their last five games and found a way to knock out Utica Eisenhower 2-1 Wednesday in a Division 1 district semifinals match at Rochester.
The Highlanders advance to the district finals for the seventh straight year and will face fourth-ranked Romeo (14-1-6) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rochester for the district championship.
The Highlanders have captured district titles the past three years and have also knocked out Eisenhower four straight times – the previous t
