A builder who climbed ladders to spy on his former partner at her Bothwell home has been jailed for 32 months.
Darren McVey, 43, will be under supervision for a year when he is released and a non-harassment order means he must stay away from the woman for 10 years.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard McVey ignored a string of court orders as he hounded his ex for weeks.
Sinead Corrigan, prosecuting, said the woman was making dinner for herself and a child around 6pm on Hogmanay. She heard knocking on the first floor window of the house in Langside Court.
