Hospitals in Wingham and Listowel are celebrating the completion of some big projects.

Diagnostic imaging has been a focus of fundraising for several years, including the purchase of a new CT scanner at Wingham & District Hospital earlier this year.

Upgrades to breast cancer screening technology were also made by the Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance.

Wait times from screening to results have been reduced from up to 11 weeks in 2023 to just 4–5 weeks in 2025.

The expanded breast cancer screenings include: Digital mammography, contrast mammography, and high-resolution ultrasound for dense breasts.
