Jack Denver scored a hat trick as 15th-seeded Red Bank Catholic defeated 18th-seeded Donovan Catholic 3-1 in the first round of the Shore Conference Coaches Cup in Red Bank.

The Caseys (5-9-2) snapped an eight-game winless streak and advanced to the second round against second-seeded Toms River North.

Demitri Maugeri scored for Donovan Catholic (2-10-1).
