Calling for an unhindered humanitarian access in Gaza, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh on Wednesday night said civilians “must not die due to conflict” and stressed that Gaza must have access to food, fuel and essential supplies without hindrance.

Speaking at the Meeting of the NAM Ministerial Committee on Palestine, Singh said India’s position since October 7, 2023, has been consistent — condemning terrorism while urging an end to civilian suffering. “Hostages must be released; and a ceasefire must be in place immediately,” he told the gathering of ministers.
