The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a heavy 121-94 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night in their fifth preseason matchup. With most of their regular starters sitting out, the Lakers faced a tough challenge from the start.

However, Gabe Vincent stood out among the rest. He delivered a stellar performance that earned a shout-out from LeBron James.

Vincent later revealed the spark that fueled his standout performance. The Lakers guard shared that a member of the Mavericks’ bench tried to taunt him during the game, which pushed him harder to prove them wrong.

“Someone over there (Mavs bench) said I won’t shoot another one… I just let ’em know I heard ’em,” Vincent said.
