Pokémon Legends: Z-A is another open-world game that lets players roam around a large-scale area. However, one thing that sets Legends: Z-A apart is that its map is the urban sprawl of Lumiose City, as opposed to the segmented wild areas of the Hisui region in Legends: Arceus . This can make its map size feel slightly smaller, even if it's technically more open than the previous Pokémon Legends game.
In Legends: Arceus , players used Jubilife Village as a hub while exploring various sections of the Hisui region. While technically each area was open-world, you weren't free to go where you pleased, since each section had to be unlocked throughout the main story.
