All Time Low had to skip some shows after the band’s lead singer, Alex Gaskarth, came down with a throat infection.
The popular pop-punk band ended a concert after just one song Sunday night at Red Rocks in Colorado as Gaskarth suffered a “debilitating” loss of voice that he said he’s never experienced in more than 20 years of performing.
Gaskarth later said on Facebook Monday that he went to see an ear, nose and throat specialist that gave him good news and bad news.
“They ran a scope up my nose and down my throat (always super pleasant) and checked out my vocal cords, and the good news is that I do not have any signs of serious damage,” Gaskarth wrote. “Unfortunately, the bad news is that I do have an acute infection that has affected my larynx, which is why my voice shut down duri
