Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, has extended heartfelt appreciation to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for taking what he described as a “bold and visionary step” in reviving the historic Darbar Move, a centuries-old tradition that has been an enduring pillar of Jammu and Kashmir’s administrative fabric.

In a public statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Minister Javed Rana emphasized that the Darbar Move is far more than an administrative exercise; it is a symbol of cultural integration, emotional unity and regional inclusivity.

He noted that by reinstating this practice, the Chief Minister has reaffirmed a tradition that has historically helped bind the diverse regions of Jammu and Kashmir together.
