Shillong, Oct 16: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today inaugurated the newly constructed Synthetic Football Turf at Madan Centre Playground, Kharbuli, Nongkrem in East Khasi Hills, in the presence of Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla.

The project, whose foundation was laid in 2021, marks a major boost for sports development in the area.

The new turf is expected to boost football and sports activities in Nongkrem and nearby areas, providing young players a modern platform to train and showcase their talent.
