LINCOLN – Annette Briand, founder of the Manville Share Shack, said more people are helping than ever, but unfortunately, more people are hurting than ever too.

The Share Shack, located on Gousy Street, has been a community staple, offering food at no cost and allowing people to come and go as they please without having to interact with others, for the past 19 years.

Over time, there have been many changes, including the addition of a Health and Wellness Shack, and a Knowledge and Entertainment Shack, a move from Old River Road to Gousy Street, and more. Most recently, the original food Share Shack got a little makeover, with community volunteers painting the shack, fixing the roof, repairing shelving, and even paving the ground in front of the shacks.
