CUMBERLAND – As promised, the Cumberland Pre-School Center has been permanently relocated to the newly renovated Cumberland High School Transitional Building.
The community celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting event on Oct. 8.
Mayor Jeff Mutter called it a “great central location.”
“(It’s) just a real nice space for the pre-school,” he said during the ceremony.
The new facility features artwork of a bee from former student Casey Conklin, which Mutter said can be followed around the school, and the artwork will be named through a contest.
Officials also pointed out during a tour a ball pit room for children to play in, as well as an occupational therapy room with plentiful space and a speech room.
All classrooms also contain accessible restrooms.
