SHELBYVILLE, Texas (KTRE) - The Shelbyville Dragons are looking to turn their season around after a 1-5 start to the season and an 0-1 start to district play.

Three of the Dragons’ five losses have been by one possession. KTRE Sports Director Ryan Smith spoke with Shelbyville Head Coach Jerrod Wallace ahead of Thursday’s game against Timpson. Wallace says you can’t have an off night in this district.

“I think every week what our district presents is really tough. Some people like to joke and talk about it being the SEC of 2A,” Wallace said. “I think as long as we keep our heads up and understand that what we’re doing and where we’re building and how we’re progressing puts us in a really good spot and we keep grinding, I think we should leave ourselves in a pretty good spot at the end of
