An Edinburgh resident had their home broken into as masked men demanded their car keys.

Police are appealing for information after the duo broke into a property on Silverknowes Midway at around 4.10am on Wednesday, October 15. The pair were wearing black clothing, face coverings and gloves.

Officers have said nothing was stolen from the home . The duo may have had a white BMW 1 series car with black wheels, according to police enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Will Dickson said: "Fortunately, the occupant was not injured but she was left very shaken by what happened.
