Celtic have donated £100,000 to the UN World Food Programme to help deliver vital aid to families caught up in the humanitarian crisis in Gaza .
The cash, pledged through the Celtic FC Foundation, will go towards emergency food supplies in the war-torn region where the UN says more than 640,000 people face famine conditions.
It’s the latest in a series of major humanitarian efforts from the Foundation, which has previously stepped up to support global crises in Ukraine, Syria, Turkey, Morocco, Mexico and across Africa.
That worldwide commitment runs alongside its core mission to tackle poverty closer to home and a further £100,000 has now been pledged to expand the club’s community feeding projects in Glasgow and beyond.
