LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — The Liberty County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) announced it seized a large quantity of illegal substances and firearms on Monday.
The Liberty County Narcotics Suppression Unit and the Hinesville Police Department executed a search warrant that resulted in an arrest.
24 ounces of methamphetamine, 17 ounces of fentanyl, eight ounces of alprazolam prescription pills, two pints of liquid promethazine and codeine, four ounces of marijuana and eight firearms were seized.
The suspect was charged with multiple narcotics trafficking and weapons-related offenses.
The LCSO said the arrest is part of a broader, continuing investigation to dismantle drug trafficking networks and reducing illegal distribution of firearms in Liberty County.
