AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Texans aren't strangers to the heat, but thousands of Formula One (F1) fans from all over the globe are preparing for scorching temperatures this weekend.

The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) declared a 'heat hazard' for the second weekend in a row.

The FIA Formula One Race Director Rui Marques noted, "In accordance with Article 26.19 of the Sporting Regulations, having received a forecast from the Official Weather Service predicting that the heat index will be greater than 31° Celsius at some time during the Sprint or Race at this event, a Heat Hazard is declared."

It's important to note that 31° Celsius is 87.8° Fahrenheit.
