Alan Hamel, the husband of the late actress Suzanne Somers, recently shared the promise his wife asked him to keep in their final moments together.

Somers, who died on Oct. 15, 2023 after a long battle with cancer, urged her husband of 46 years not to be depressed after she was gone.

In a recent interview with Woman’s World , Hamel, 89, recalled sitting with his wife while she was non-responsive.

“I was talking to her non-stop from 8 p.m. one evening to 5 a.m. the next morning, hoping she could hear me,” Hamel said. “Then I decided to kiss her, and she kissed me back. At that moment, I knew she could hear everything I said.”
