TRI-COUNTY — Volunteers across Kentucky are preparing to collect gift-filled shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child during National Collection Week, set for November 17-24.

The nationwide effort, organized by Samaritan's Purse, will see nearly 5,000 drop-off locations open to receive donations that bring some extra holiday cheer to children around the world.
