NEW WINDSOR – State Police are investigating the discovery of human remains found near Sloop Hill Road in the Town of New Windsor.

The discovery was made on Tuesday, October 14 during an excavation by Central Hudson as part of a gas line installation project.

The Troop F Forensic Identification Unit and the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Montgomery barracks.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages.
