LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Publix issued a recall on one lot of ice cream distributed to various stores across six states, according to a Wednesday release.
This recall includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennesse, South Carolina, and Kentucky.
While the ice cream was sent to stores in Florida, Publix locations in Tampa, Tallahassee, Sarasota, and Jacksonville were not included in the recall.
The supermarket chain said its recall applied to a lot of Publix Rich & Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream, UPC 41415 03043. The ice cream was said to have an undeclared egg allergen.
The half-gallon ice cream container has a sell-by date of June 19, 2026, and may also have a mismatched French vanilla ice cream container lid.
Those with egg allergens may have a serious illness if they consume the ice cream.
