EXCLUSIVE: Last Night Was a Movie , the comedy series being shopped by buzzy sketch group Almost Friday , on which we first reported in August, is heading to FX for development, sources tell Deadline.

Reps for FX declined to comment. We understand that deals are still being sorted. As we previously reported, the project teams the creatives from Almost Friday — including Billy Langdon, Liam Cullagh, Chet Collins, Eilise Patton, and Will Angus — with BoulderLight Pictures , whose J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules have been tapped to head up a new genre label for Paramount starting next year.
